Summary

Robert Kiyosaki

I went through the book and highlighted a lot of information。 Much of the content rubbed me the wrong way but that isn't necessarily a bad thing。 It got me thinking。 Thinking about how I think about money。 I feel challenged。 Not deflated。 Challenged to delve deeper into the concepts like: portfolio and passive money; pay myself first; asking How I can afford something instead of insisting that I can't。 Thinking, being creative, seeing opportunities。 I'm not a young person any more, but these con I went through the book and highlighted a lot of information。 Much of the content rubbed me the wrong way but that isn't necessarily a bad thing。 It got me thinking。 Thinking about how I think about money。 I feel challenged。 Not deflated。 Challenged to delve deeper into the concepts like: portfolio and passive money; pay myself first; asking How I can afford something instead of insisting that I can't。 Thinking, being creative, seeing opportunities。 I'm not a young person any more, but these concepts still apply to me and I can put them into action。 I will say that while there is a lot I can start to do now, I will read the book again and then the next two in the series。 Worth your time to start on the path of financial intelligence。 I wish I had learned this when I was younger。 。。。more

Really good book when it comes to starting with personal finance。 It gives a really good idea on how to work for your dreams and not for somebody else's dream。 Really good book when it comes to starting with personal finance。 It gives a really good idea on how to work for your dreams and not for somebody else's dream。 。。。more

A great book that is not only about money but also about rethinking your life。 It goes over a lot of basic and simple concepts and makes them easy to understand。 This book really motivates you to get started on a new and better path。 Although I really liked the book and the lessons in it, I also have some remarks。 As described in the book the writing style really shows that Robert is a great seller and not that great of a writer, it's not a badly written book but sometimes doesn't really flow we A great book that is not only about money but also about rethinking your life。 It goes over a lot of basic and simple concepts and makes them easy to understand。 This book really motivates you to get started on a new and better path。 Although I really liked the book and the lessons in it, I also have some remarks。 As described in the book the writing style really shows that Robert is a great seller and not that great of a writer, it's not a badly written book but sometimes doesn't really flow well。 It can also feel like a big sales pitch from time to time。 Robert's vision on people that work 9-to-5's and don't follow his "out of the box" ways are a bit short sighted in my opinion。 Not everyone that isn't rich or works normal day jobs is just too lazy or too financially uneducated like he sometimes portrays it, everyone enjoys life a different way and that's something that this book doesn't really talk about。 It feels more like a good enlightened few vs the bad uneducated mass type of deal sometimes。 Now, even though I have these remarks I really liked it a lot for myself and really promote this book to anyone that's into personal finance, because this book really simplifies the basic mindset of a lot of successful rich people。 。。。more

I'm inclined to give it just three stars, even though I think everybody should read it。 Maybe it just didn't help me that much because it's stuff I already know。 But I'm holding it to the high standard of books I approve of, and it's just not great in that category, so it deserves the fourth star。It's kind of rambly and unfocussed, and feels more like a collection of life advice。 There are definitely some good nuggets in there, but more in the form of examples and allegories than clearly formula I'm inclined to give it just three stars, even though I think everybody should read it。 Maybe it just didn't help me that much because it's stuff I already know。 But I'm holding it to the high standard of books I approve of, and it's just not great in that category, so it deserves the fourth star。It's kind of rambly and unfocussed, and feels more like a collection of life advice。 There are definitely some good nuggets in there, but more in the form of examples and allegories than clearly formulated concepts。 As such it's kind of imprecisely hinting at some libertarian principles that for instance austrian econ or Thomas Sowell put much more clearly years ago。 。。。more

خیلی شامل جملات بیهوده و غیر ضروری بود بنابراین از خوندن ادامه کتاب منصرف شدم و به یقین رسیدم که باز هم سراغ کتابهای موفقیت نرم 。

I do believe this is a wonderful book for beginners’ tips on achieving financial liberty。 However, I do think some chapters are redundant and that the book could have been condensed。

I don't know。 Useful tips on financial management but 'getting rich' not a personal life goal of mine so not a huge fan of how it was framed as the ultimate measure of success throughout and being 'poor' was failing。 I don't know。 Useful tips on financial management but 'getting rich' not a personal life goal of mine so not a huge fan of how it was framed as the ultimate measure of success throughout and being 'poor' was failing。 。。。more

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it, click here。 Timeless: loved the simple general principles taught in this book and the way he connected it with stories about his childhood eg don’t work for money, let money work for you, know the difference between an asset and a liability。 The overall message is don’t buy luxuries with your savings use your savings to buy real estate to generate a passive income which you can use to buy your luxuries。

Meaghan Schuette

This is the first financial book I’ve read and it got me to think about money in ways I have never thought of it before。 It focuses on how to make your money work for you rather than just spending your life working for money。 It explains why the rich get richer and why the poor and middle class are stuck in the “rat race”。 Overall, a good book to get started learning about financial literacy!

Andrew Ning

It was ok。 Overhyped。 A few basic ideas repeated over and over then filled out with vague examples and platitudes。 My takeaways:- asset vs liability- only buy luxuries with assets。 - difference between your profession (earned income) and your business (assets, portfolio and passive income)- learn tax laws- wealth/poverty is a mindset

Deveria ter lido há muitos anos atrás。

The only complaint almost every reader has is why they didn't read it earlier。It's a timeless classic。 A very important book to teach finance which has not been included in any curriculum though it is a very vital life skill。 The only complaint almost every reader has is why they didn't read it earlier。It's a timeless classic。 A very important book to teach finance which has not been included in any curriculum though it is a very vital life skill。 。。。more
